Overview

The Benefits Analyst is responsible for researching, analyzing, evaluating and administering corporate
benefits plans and programs to meet Concentra’s strategy. Work with large amounts of data and be able to keep track of this data and spot inconsistencies and mistakes. Serves as a resource for employee benefits information and processes, which may include resolving issues escalated from the tier 1 level call center, resolving claim issues with applicable vendor, and support of annual benefits enrollment. This role also ensures plans and programs are in alignment with Concentra’s business objectives and overall Orange Book philosophy.

Responsibilities


• Data management, conducting audits of vendor invoices, assisting in preparation of benefits and
HR policy and procedures.
• Benefits bill reconciliation and troubleshooting (vendors and colleagues)
• Conducts regular audits and compliance reviews of benefits packages.
• Researches, analyzes, evaluates and administers corporate benefits plans and programs to meet
Concentra’s strategy.
• Payroll liaison for benefits related issues, supports payroll closed loop process and performs prepayroll audits for various benefit deduction errors as needed.
• Assists colleagues in resolving escalated benefits or 401(k) issues in an effective and timely
manner. This may include correcting data, processing forms, and coding information into a
database in accordance with system policies and regulations.
• Reviews daily, weekly and monthly reports to address errors or control/reconciliation needs.
• Partners with finance regarding benefit invoices and monthly accounting benefits reporting.
• Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
• Works with HR Admin vendor Businessolver (BSC) regarding escalations, file error processing
issues and direct billing questions as needed.
• Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the systems to provide vendors with accurate
eligibility information.
• Performs monthly quality checks of benefits-related data.
• Reviews quarterly ACA measurement status reports from BSC and ACA prep documents for 1095
development at BSC
• Periodically reviews rehire report to ensure proper benefits reinstatement at vendor.
• Reconcile 401k files such as contribution and loan files.
• Support 401(k) non-discrimination testing, plan audits and compliance, as needed.
• Oversees HSA/FSA/401(k) funding
• Supports strong relationship with vendors, brokers and/or consultants.
• Primary liaison with HRIS team working to solve problems at the global level, increase and
optimize automation.
• Accountable for staying abreast of and compliant with all government regulations.
• Support research, implementation, and communications for the benefits piece of any acquisition,
merger, or joint venture.
• Understand the HR/Payroll system and work with internal departments to drive efficiencies.
• Supporting the mission and direction of Concentra.
• Cross train with Benefits Specialist as needed.
• Other benefits related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education Level: Associate Degree
Major: HR, Finance, Accounting or related field of study

 

Degree must be from an accredited college or university.

 

Education Details:
• Some college courses from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and
experience
• In lieu of higher education, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work
experience and vice versa
• Associate degree preferred

 

Certifications and/or Licenses:
• Preferred: SHRM Certified Professional or CEBS certification or other benefits related credentials

 

Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable: Yes
Continuing education is required to maintain license and to perform job: No

 

Customarily has at least the following experience: 3 years
• Customarily has at least three (3) years of experience in HR and/or data analytics, finance or
benefits administration.
