Responsibilities

 

 

Directs the development and administration of all aspects of contracted services (occupational
health and safety, urgent care, primary care, wellness) in accordance with Concentra policies/
practices/procedures and applicable regulations to promote health, prevent disease, deliver
exceptional patient care and/or reduce work-related injuries for client (if in scope).


• Provides a variety of services including direct patient care, clinic oversight, health initiatives, case
management, care coordination, and coordinating with clinical staff in the care of patients.
• Manages the daily activities of the clinic including staff training, procuring supplies, colleague shift
scheduling, and the overall operation of the clinic.
• Supervises clinic colleagues including scheduling, managing performance, monitoring work
assignments, and ensuring excellent patient and customer relationships.
• Plans, develops, and promotes the necessary resources to operate all health services in scope
(primary, urgent, health improvement, and/or occupational health care).
• Collaborates in the design of controls for prevention and health improvement initiatives that would
be applicable to the client population.
• Maintains and safeguards confidentiality of participant health information and health records.
• Assigns work responsibilities and work schedules, monitors work assignments, and evaluates
staff performance.
• Supports training for new colleagues and assists in orienting to the client's clinic location.
• Collects and analyzes data to establish health priorities and interventions.
• Works with client to ensure goals and vision of the health program is realized.
• Conducts and documents program evaluation which may include measurement of immediate and
long- term outcomes and quality of service/interventions.
• Establishes relationships with appropriate community agencies and providers for participant
specialist care and health improvement planning efforts.
• Provides learning opportunities for clinical staff in the clinical health setting.
• Coordinates clinic events (open house, tours), participates in client meetings, and may be involved
in client committees as requested.
• Performs administrative requirements such as completing reports, data collection, patient
document, monthly reports, patient/customer experiences, expenses, and outcome metrics.
• Assumes responsibility for own professional development and continuing education.

Qualifications

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree

Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
Education Details:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
Certifications and/or Licenses:
• Certification in Nursing
• Current registration/license in the state where employed
Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable: No
Continuing education is required to maintain license and to perform job: Yes

 

Customarily has at least the following experience: 5 years
• Customarily has at least five years of demonstrated experience in Nursing
• Management and supervisory experience required

Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, or squatting is required in the performance of the job. Occasional lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Adequate color vision to levels that allow performance of
tasks inherent to medical practice and clinical office work. Ability to speak effectively before customers, patients, co-workers and others every day in the performance of the job. Hearing within the acceptable range for telephone and in-person contacts. Requires working under pressure during emergency situations or during irregular hours.
Work is performed in a clinical office environment. Involves frequent exposure to communicable
diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, blood borne pathogens and other conditions common to a medical center environment. Must be able effectively resolve conflicts as they arise. May perform medical care as needed.
